2020 Conference Convenor
The Australian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) is the peak representative body for law students in Australia.
ALSA is looking for a 2020 Convenor for the Annual July Conference to be held in Perth.
The ALSA Convenor’s primary role is to organise the ALSA Conference. However, the appointed Convenor will also be required to sit on the ALSA Committee for the 2018/19 term, and will become an executive member in the 2019/20 term.
The Convenor will be responsible for the following activities:
Attending tri-annual ALSA Council Meetings (September, February & July – Expenses paid);
Participate in monthly ALSA Committee teleconferences via Skype;
Participate in fortnightly ALSA Executive Committee teleconferences (in the 20198/20 term) via Skype (frequency of meetings may increase over the course of the year);
Convening the 2020 ALSA Conference.
The ALSA Conference is an annual event spanning five days in early July. It is attended by over 350 law students from Australia, New Zealand, and South-East Asia. The Conference has four core activities:
